Rainbow Connection - Arts Project of Cherry Grove

Older Adult Application

Thanks so much for applying to the Rainbow Connection Intergenerational Summer Theater Camp!

The Arts Project of Cherry Grove is looking for LGBTQ+ older adults 55+ to collaborate with queer youth on a deeply personal and moving piece of theater celebrating the collective queer experience. You may participate one of three ways: 1. Submit a personal story for dramatization 2. Perform in your own vignette with support from the Rainbow Connection ensemble as you wish 3. Collaborate with the Rainbow Connection ensemble in some capacity throughout the two week program as much or as little as you would like and be involved in several of the final scenes.

Rainbow Connection will take place at the Cherry Grove Community House and Theater from 10am – 6pm, Monday – Friday, July 31 – August 11, with performances of the final show on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12 at 8pm.

Rainbow Connection is FREE to all participants with round trip Sayville ferry tickets and lunches provided complimentary.

 

You MUST be vaccinated for Covid-19 to participate in the program.

The Arts Project of Cherry Grove is looking for LGBTQ+ young adults, especially people of color, between the ages of 16 – 20.  You should have a passion for musical theater, a strong work ethic, a collaborative nature and a willingness to share raw emotion and personal experiences. 

 

Rainbow Connection will take place at the Cherry Grove Community House and Theater from 10am-6pm, Monday – Friday, July 31 – August 11, with performances of the final show on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12 at 8pm.
