Preparations are in full swing this morning as long-term couple Patrick and Glenn gear up for Patrick's traditional birthday weekend at their Ocean Walk home. With them are their oldest friends, former lawyer and current hippie Michael, and sharp tongue writer Harper, a rage-o-(and alco)-holic comedy writer. Despite quirks and difficult personalities, they are bonded from their days in ACT UP. Throwing a bit of a wrench into the plans is an impending thunderstorm. Oh, and Harper's ex, arriving uninvited...with his new, younger girlfriend in tow. As the afternoon progresses, amidst the barbs, memories, stings and arrows, new stabs, old jabs, big strong drinks, things get fuzzier, both the horizon and the vision. Maybe the only clarity left is love.
